Imagine the Future

2020, curation, exhibition text, and designs for Imagine the Future by Jess Holdengarde, with Catrin Menai

Imagine the Future was a project by Jess Holdengarde “of converging journeys to, from, and for the future.” It consisted of two events at venues in Glasgow during the Spring of 2020, one of which featured a performance by Jess, along with artist Catrin Menai.

The exhibition text “An Essay for Departure” was written for Recantation, an exhibition of Jess’ moving image works at the Savings Bank, Glasgow, which was never viewed by the public due to the sudden announcement of the first Covid-19 lockdown.
