Life is Short!
2023, exhibition, performance event, and publication launch, Cathkin Park, GlasgowAn act of love for place, a defiant reach for each other in hard times, the event Life is Short! included performances, ephermeral artworks installed in the stands of a park stadium, and the launch of a publication. Co-curated with Lorna Ough, the event lasted for one day, and endures through the collection of writing within the publication. Download the publication .
“Strangeness. Place and happening. Glowing and suggesting, floating. Each story, each meander through the trees, an illumination. Our stories, like matter, travel to forgotten edges, mountains, to intimate rooms in cities across the sea, and settle momentarily, in a park at the edge of a south side neighbourhood, Glasgow. They speak of wild desires, of strange encounters, of the liminal and the crushed, of enchantments and beauty. Yet something cuts, something suspends, something whispers.” Download the event handout .
